Just perform 6 simple tasks and you are on your way – all in about 10 seconds.

To start the process, place your finger on the fingerprint scanner and then perform 5 more simple tasks like:   Turning on your left turn signal   Fastening your seat belt   Placing your foot on the brake   Turning on your heater   Turning on your lights.

If there is anyone else in the car they are going to think that the driver just getting ready to drive.  The passenger won’t even know that you are doing anything out of the ordinary. 

What the passenger doesn’t know is that Cleared2Drive’s sophisticated algorithms are making instantaneous calculations to determine whether or not the person attempting to start the vehicle is impaired.  The Cleared2Drive system determines whether or not a person is impaired by instantly comparing his historical data (collected each time they are successful in starting his vehicle) to his current data.  If the two sets of information don’t match, then the vehicle won’t start.  It’s just that simple.

However, should the operator fail at their first attempt, she can try 2 more times.  Each operator can try up to 3 times in a row before being locked out for 2 hours.  Now, just because that individual is locked out from being able to start the vehicle, it doesn’t mean that someone else can’t drive it for her.  However, the vehicle will only be able to be started by someone who can prove that he or she is not impaired.
